Public Health England receives laboratory reports of hepatitis C cases from England and Wales; these reports are presented by year in the following tables and the figures reflect those who have been tested. Data for the combined laboratory reports for England and Wales are available from 2013 and published in the Quarterly laboratory-confirmed hepatitis A virus and hepatitis C reports in England and Wales, available to view at the following link:

The most recent estimates suggest that in 2015, around 160,000 people in England are living with hepatitis C infection.
