Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what his policy is on the level of fuel duties.

At Budget 2015 the government cancelled the fuel duty increase that was planned for 1 September 2015, thereby freezing fuel duty until the end of 2015-16. Like all taxes, fuel duties are kept under review in the context of the wider public finances, with tax policy changes announced at fiscal events.
