Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, whether his Department has made a recent assessment of the (a) effectiveness and (b) efficiency of welfare services for veterans.

This Government is determined to make the UK the best place in the world to be a veteran. To ensure we meet this ambition, I have jointly commissioned an independent review into the role and scope of welfare provision for veterans, including those under the Veterans UK banner, with the Minister for Defence People, Veterans and Service Families.

This review will focus on examining the effectiveness and efficiency of welfare services for veterans, and will identify duplication or gaps in support, ensuring that our welfare services best deliver for those who have served our country.
