Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what representations he has made to the Saudi Arabian Government on the continued detention of female human rights activists in that country.

The UK is very concerned about the recent arrests and detentions of human rights activists in Saudi Arabia. The previous Foreign Secretary and I have raised our concerns with the Saudi authorities. We will continue to do so at every appropriate opportunity.
