Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, pursuant to the Answer of 1 March to Question 152186 on Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme, how many of the 849 medical rejections were due to (a) lack of causation and (b) failure to meet the 60 per cent disability threshold.

As of 23 February 2023, of the 849 rejected claims to the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme relating to COVID-19 vaccines, 800 claims were rejected where causation due to the vaccine was not accepted and 49 claims were rejected where they did not meet the 60% disability threshold.
