Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will produce a workforce plan for palliative care services.
This question was answered on 13th March 2023
The Long Term Workforce Plan looks across the whole of the National Health Service workforce to provide an assessment of future need over the next 15 years. No explicit assessments will be made in the Long Term Workforce Plan with regards to the palliative care services workforce, but it will be covered within the overall assessment of future need. There are no plans at present for a specific palliative care workforce strategy.
