Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, when he plans to announce the structure of the Major Conditions Strategy.
This question was answered on 13th March 2023
The Major Conditions Strategy will ensure that mental ill-health is considered alongside other physical health conditions, meaning the interactions between them are reflected in any resulting commitments. We are already investing at least £2.3 billion of additional funding a year by 2023/24 to expand and transform mental health services in England so that two million more people will be able to get the NHS-funded mental health support they need.
