NHS England is aware of some trials using high-intensity focused ultrasound therapy for prostate cancer happening across the country, some of which are in partnership with National Health Service trusts. They will monitor the outcomes of these trials. This is not something that is routinely commissioned by NHS England, however, and clinical commissioning groups and providers are encouraged to commission services in line with National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidance.
