Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if she will make an assessment of the potential merits of establishing a centre for dental development in York.

No assessment has been made of the potential merits of establishing a centre for dental development in York. For areas wishing to establish a centre for dental development, the responsibility for this falls to their local integrated care board (ICB).

As proposed centres for dental development are developed by ICBs in England, we will work closely and collaboratively with areas to support their creation. NHS England is working with ICBs to develop a resource for publication, to support ICBs with considering how to establish a centre in their area.
