The branded lanyards were purchased to support National Apprenticeship Week, a significant event in the apprenticeships and skills calendar. They were used to promote the crucial role apprenticeships and apprentices play in the Department’s capability and skills plan. The lanyards were used at apprenticeship engagement events to recognise apprentices’ achievements and encourage awareness and uptake of apprenticeship opportunities across the Department.

The purchase was approved in line with the Department’s existing arrangements for branded merchandise. As the Department’s apprenticeship branding does not change annually, the lanyards can be reused at future apprenticeship events, providing ongoing value for money.
