There is no centralised estimate of the need and number of M4(2) accessible and adaptable new homes, and this is because the framework depends on local plan makers following a common methodology putting evidence of local need and viability into the heart of their forecasts. There is a guide to available disability data and guidance for councils in how to assess their housing needs.
