The Government has no plans to review council tax banding of properties in England, which would require a revaluation to be implemented effectively. A revaluation would be expensive to undertake, and could result in increases in bills for many households, as happened following the council tax revaluation in Wales when 33% of all homes there were placed in a higher band compared to 8% of homes that were placed in a lower band.
