Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what estimate she has made of the number of residential properties expected to be lost to coastal erosion in the next five years by local authority area.

The Environment Agency’s National Coastal Erosion Risk Map (NCERM), published in 2025, provides estimates of properties in areas at risk of coastal erosion by local authority over longer-term periods, including up to 2055 and 2105. This information is publicly available on GOV.UK.
