Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment his Department has made of the growth of the bike and scooter share scheme in London.

The Department for Transport has not undertaken any detailed assessment of this matter. The Department is working with Transport for London, as well as with local authorities and bike share operators across the country, to develop a better understanding of the benefits and issues raised by the development of bike share and other related schemes.
