Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, if he will make an assessment of the adequacy of UKVI's communications with asylum claim applicants on the progress of their applications; and if he will take steps to ensure that those applicants receive adequate communications on the progress of their applications.

The Home Office aims to keep individuals informed of progress with their application at least every 6 months. This process is kept under review and we are working to make technology improvements to the process of updating individuals.
