Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, which criteria determine whether she refers to herself in official communications as the (a) Foreign Secretary or (b) Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs.

The Foreign Secretary's formal title is the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs. Foreign Secretary is the abbreviated form.
