Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether he plans to convert contracted railway staff into directly employed staff.
This question was answered on 17th June 2022
It is not for the Government to intervene in the operation of Network Rail and Train Operating Companies regarding contracted and directly employed staff. It is down to employers to make such decisions.
