The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy negotiates on behalf of the UK in respect to EU legislation covering single market, energy, consumer rights, labour markets, research and innovation.

The Department provides Explanatory Memoranda to Parliament, on proposals defined by the terms of reference of the parliamentary EU scrutiny committees, which can be found online.
