Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what guidance his Department has published for local authorities on requiring the removal of ragwort from public land.

Guidance is available on the ‘Prevent harmful weeds and invasive non-native plants spreading’ GOV.UK webpage. Additionally, the ‘Code of Practice on How to Prevent the Spread of Ragwort’ sets out guidance for all landowners, including local authorities, on when and how ragwort should be removed.
