The Government is considering the use of MoD Barnham for asylum accommodation. No final decision has been made.

If the site is taken forward, asylum seekers accommodated there would not be subject to monitoring of their social media accounts by the Home Office, accommodation providers or site security contractors. As part of the induction processes, clear expectations would be set about behaviours and internet safety. If criminal activity occurs on site, the site’s service provider will have robust processes in place to report incidents of criminality to the police.
