Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what estimate his Department has made of the number of school places in the London Borough of Barnet.

The Department collects information from each local authority on the number of school places as part of the annual school capacity survey. Data relating to the position in the 2017/18 academic year will be published in the new year.

Data for May 2017 (relating to academic year 2016/17) can be found at:

The data shows that on 1 May 2017 there were 31,518 primary school places and 29,759 secondary school places in Barnet.
