Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what estimate he has made of how many Universal Credit claimants will be moved into the Intensive Work Search regime as a result of increasing the Administrative Earnings Threshold from the equivalent of 15 hours per week to the equivalent of 18 hours per week at National Living Wage.
Based on the latest Spring Budget forecasts, departmental analysts have estimated that this change to the AET will mean approximately 120,000 more claimants are subject to work search and work availability requirements.
