The UK supports peaceful, free and credible elections in Senegal. Our Ambassador and Embassy in Dakar regularly engage with the Government of Senegal and civil society and have met with opposition groups to reinforce this message. The Embassy conducted election monitoring for legislative elections in 2022 and engages with civil society groups and international partners in Senegal to support media freedom, which is essential for contributing to a democratic and open society.
