The Home Office does not routinely collect information on the cost of police operations. It is an operational matter for the police to decide the most appropriate arrangements to police visits or events.

Any Police and Crime Commissioner facing significant additional costs as a result of unexpected or exceptional events which could threaten their financial stability may apply for additional funding through the Police Special Grant.
