Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, pursuant to the Answer of 4 June 2015 to Question 214, whether collaboration between her Department and the Department of Health has given rise to any measure intended to ensure that adoption is presented as an option to women with unwanted pregnancies; and if she will make a statement.

The Department for Education and the Department of Health are not taking forward any work to present adoption as an option to women with unwanted pregnancies. However, the NHS website offers advice for women on unwanted pregnancies, including reference to the option of considering adoption for the baby.
