United Kingdom Government Departments are currently working together to understand the impact that withdrawal from the European Union will have on the relationship between the Food Standards Agency, the European Food Safety Agency (EFSA), other EU agencies and the European Commission. The UK has a long tradition of close scientific collaboration with the EFSA which we greatly value and hope to continue in the future. The nature of the UK’s future relationship with the EFSA and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety, is subject to the negotiations.
