The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care regularly speaks to the Chancellor of the Exchequer on a range of issues. The Department does not hold a record of a discussion between the current Secretary of State and the Chancellor of the Exchequer on this specific issue.

Officials from the Department of Health and Social Care have regular discussions with officials from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport to review the implementation of Sporting Futures Strategy. Discussions include reviewing programmes to embed physical activity into care pathways and raising awareness of the United Kingdom Chief Medical Officers’ physical activity guidelines.
