The Government has invested in a new IT analytics engine for the national fraud and cyber crime reporting centre (formerly Action Fraud) and the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau (NFIB). The victim reporting process has been greatly improved through the implementation of a streamlined, more intuitive online portal for crime reporting.

The analytics engine within the NFIB has been significantly upgraded. This will lead to more reports being automatically scored, with more, higher quality disseminations to forces, and better identification of vulnerable victims. The system will also be linked live with forces, so data and intelligence can be shared in real time. We expect to see improvements in the quality and number of disseminations to forces and the ability of forces to investigate and feedback on how they have progressed investigations.
