The UK Government continues to condemn the military coup in Myanmar and the violence against the people of Myanmar. Since the coup, we have announced significant targeted sanctions on the military leadership, its access to revenue, arms and military equipment. The UK has had no high level engagement with the military regime in Myanmar since the 1 February 2021 coup.
