Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, which organisations and individuals have been granted exemptions from the provisions of the Computer Misuse Act 1990.

No organisations or individuals have been granted exemptions from the provisions in the Computer Misuse Act 1990.
Section 10 of the Computer Misuse Act 1990 clarifies the interaction between the use of authorised powers and the Computer Misuse Act offences. It does not extend those powers, confer additional powers, or create new defences for the police, security and intelligence services.
