Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether his Department has allocated additional funding to substance misuse services as a result of the increase in the cost of prescribing buprenorphine.
The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care regularly meets with Cabinet colleagues to discuss a range of topics. The Government has committed £16 billion in funding to local authorities over the current five-year spending review period to tackle public health issues, which includes alcohol and drug treatment services, and there are no plans to increase funding further at this time.
