Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment he has made of the effect of medical nutrition on the management of drug-resistant epilepsy.

The Department has made no specific assessment of the effect of medical nutrition, also known as the ketogenic diet, on the management of drug-resistant epilepsy. However, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence sets out best practice guidance for clinicians in ‘Epilepsies: diagnosis and management’ which is available at the following link:
