The Government’s target of up to 10GW low-carbon production capacity and its Hydrogen Business Model positions the UK well internationally, supporting over 12,000 jobs and £11bn private investment in the UK by 2030. Germany is a key partner in this field with opportunities to develop trade and investment links.

This year, the Government intends to consult on options for market intervention supporting hydrogen to power. Hydrogen to power can provide reliable low-carbon, flexible generation with a decarbonisation pathway for unabated generation, supporting the UK's decarbonisation ambitions and security of supply.
