Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how much funding each local NHS Trust and Integrated care system promised a new hospital as part of the New Hospital programme has received.

Under section 40 of the NHS Act 2006, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care is required to report all financial assistance given to trusts. The latest report is available at the following link:

Information on financial assistance for trusts specifically for the New Hospital Programme is on page 39 and 40. Figures for 2022/23 will be published in the next report on Financial Assistance under Section 40 of the National Health Service Act 2006.

NHS England are responsible for determining allocations of financial resources to integrated care boards from April 2023, taking over the functions previously held by clinical commissioning groups. Details on current and previous allocations are available at the following link:
