Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how much funding has been allocated to the National Retraining Scheme for each of the next five fiscal years; and how much of that funding has been spent.

My right hon. Friend, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, recently announced £100 million of initial funding for the National Retraining Scheme (NRS). This funding will allow the roll-out of initial elements of the NRS and test what works to help adults reskill as the economy changes. Further details will be provided shortly.
