Motorways: Speed Limits

Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what recent assessment he has made of the adequacy of the 70 miles per hour speed limit on motorways.
This question was answered on 24th April 2023
A previous Government made an initial assessment of the possibility of introducing trials of a higher limit on motorways but currently the Department has no plans to do so.
