Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps his Department is taking to ensure that social care capacity is covered in his workforce plan.

To support the workforce as a whole, we have commissioned NHS England to develop a NHS Long Term Workforce Plan, including projections for the number of health professionals required in the future. Whilst this is not a workforce plan for Adult Social Care, the Plan will consider regulated health professionals in adult social care.
