Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, pursuant to the Answer of 18 October 2018 to Question 179294, whether the additional funding agreed for further costs arising from actuarial revaluations of the NHS Pension Scheme will be allocated from (a) the existing five-year settlement or (b) an increase in that settlement.

In line with the announcement on the long-term funding settlement for the National Health Service, funding agreed to meet the costs arising from actuarial valuation of the NHS Pension Scheme is provided in addition to the five-year funding settlement for the NHS.
