Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, what assessment he has made of the impact of local authorities' use of bailiffs to collect council tax arrears on residents.

The administration of council tax is the responsibility of local authorities. The Department has published best practice guidance on council tax collection.
