The Prime Minister spoke to King Salman of Saudi Arabia on 24 October and made clear that the current explanation lacks credibility. The Foreign Secretary also conveyed this message when he spoke to the Saudi Foreign Minister on Saturday 20 October. There remains an urgent need to establish exactly what happened on 2 October and thereafter.
