Question to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero:

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, how many jobs did Phase 1 of the public sector decarbonisation scheme support.

Phase 1 of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme was part of my Rt. Hon. Friend Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer’s “Plan for Jobs 2020” commitment to support the UK’s economic recovery from COVID-19 and aimed to support up to 30,000 skilled jobs in the low carbon and energy efficiency sectors. The final projects funded through this phase were completed in 2022. Evaluation and monitoring work of this Phase of the Scheme is ongoing and will be published in due course.
