Sudan: Travel Requirements

Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what steps his Department is taking to help support Sudanese people who have surrendered their passports to the UK Government as part of an application process for a visa and are unable to leave Sudan without those documents.

The FCDO and Home Office have worked together closely throughout the course of the crisis response. Where Sudanese people cannot access their travel documents due to an ongoing UK visa application, the Home Office will facilitate practical solutions to ensure this does not impede individuals' planned travel.
