Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what steps he is taking to ensure that all 12 of the critical IT systems required at the border are ready in the event that the UK leaves the EU on 29 March 2019 without a deal.

All of the 12 critical IT systems are subject to close scrutiny within departments, alongside scrutiny by the Border Delivery Group and the Infrastructure and Projects Authority where applicable.

For programmes where there are delivery risks, departments have mitigation plans to address the risks, and have ensured there are appropriate contingency plans in place.
