Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, with reference to reforms announced in the Spring Budget 2023 to the Tonnage Tax regime, what assessment he has made of the potential impact on employment within the UK maritime sector.

The Department welcomes the reforms announced by HM Treasury in the Spring Budget which are resulting in renewed interest in the UK Tonnage Tax scheme.
