Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what additional funding he plans to allocate to NHS Trusts to tackle the backlog of elective surgery in (a) England and (b) York in addition to the £1 billion allocated to such surgery announced in the November 2020 Spending Review.

There are currently no planned additional funding announcements. However, we continue to engage with the National Health Service about funding needs.
