Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what discussions she has had with the Secretary of State for Transport on the importance of urban to rural bus services for public access to the natural environment.

The National Bus Strategy (published in March 2021) is explicit about seeking to ensure that the needs of rural transport users are given equal consideration to those in urban environments and is supportive of improved connectivity and availability of services in rural areas.
