Where claimants are considered to require additional support, elements of the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) claims process are adapted to provide further support. This includes help filling in the form and protections for failing to return the questionnaire, or for failing to attend an assessment. Claimants who require additional support to engage with the PIP application process are guaranteed to have an assessment if they fail to return their PIP2 questionnaire.
