Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether the Government plans to introduce licensing laws for the sale of tobacco in England.
This question was answered on 12th November 2018
The Government has no plans to introduce licensing laws for the sale of tobacco in England. Earlier this year we introduced legislation providing for the licencing of tobacco products manufacturing machinery.
