Cameroon: Armed Conflict

Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, whether he has had recent discussions with the Secretary of State for the Home Department on investigating alleged criminal offences relating to (a) disinformation, (b) computer misuse and (c) supply of information from the UK that may have led to (i) extrajudicial killings and (ii) other human rights abuses in the conflict in the northwest and southwest regions of Cameroon.

HMG is aware of incidences of social media use to promote separatist causes in the northwest and southwest regions of Cameroon. The FCDO has discussed issues relating to the conflict in Cameroon with other government departments including the Home Office.
