Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether he has had discussions with Network Rail on releasing unused brownfield sites for housing.

Network Rail continuously works with the Department and other partners, such as local authorities and London Continental Railways, to identify opportunities for the redevelopment of land, where this does not adversely affect the operational railway.
